Devon Hedgerow, somewhere near Dartmoor.

June 2026

Hello, I’ll start off by mentioning the fact, this is my first blog post EVER! So please be kind ;)

So far this year we’ve completely emptied my studio space and replaced the flooring, and given the whole space a freshen up. It certainly helps the vibe and mood for painting.

So far June, in Devon at least, has been a mixed bag of very hot sunny days and torrential down pours. Which is excellent for the garden but the weeds are loving it too! Have you ever heard the term, ‘weeds are just flowers in the wrong place’ I love it… and being a lover of all things floral and fauna it is making me very happy to see life erupting up from the gardens and the beautiful Devon hedgerows.

All these colourful displays of natural beauty are certainly helping when it comes to creative inspiration. I have been busy in the studio painting some new large pieces, on canvas. They very much reflect the rich summer skies and sharp lime greens of new growth. I try to keep you updated regularly on my Instagram and Facebook profiles, if you would like to see what’s new and what I am in the process of creating. Do pop by and say Hello, I’d love to see you there.
